Located in an industrial zone in Venice CA, Gjusta, which inhabits a former machine shop, provides the local community with a grand assortment of cuisine options. The majority of the space is dedicated to an open kitchen & bakery, with a lengthy display counter separating the patron space from back-of- house. Careful effort was made to create harmony between the original exposed building components and modern commercial kitchen. This project was completed while the principal of Herber Design was working at Marshall Projects.
