MTN Venice faced a “Mountain” of challenges through the development process, requiring complex agency approvals and adequate parking for the new use on this small lot, while balancing the functionality of the restaurant and dining program. The solution came in providing a roof deck accessed from the alley capable of parking 9 cars, and a restaurant accessed from Abbot Kinney Blvd. The finishes throughout the indoor / outdoor dining area have a sense of tactility with reclaimed flagstone flooring, repurposed mushroom cask wall cladding, and indoor planters. This project was a collaboration between Gjelina Creative (Alex Liberman) , Marshall Projects, and Herber Design.
