For decades, Laurel Hardware served the community of West Hollywood as the go to fix-it shop and was revered by many locals. Upon the closing of the original hardware business, a hospitality group acquired the space and created a neighborhood social hangout. It was decided that maintaining the original business name and elements of the façade were the best way to pay homage to the building’s history. The restaurant is divided into 2 dining areas with a large cocktail bar, and gardenlike outdoor patio. This project was completed while the principal of Herber Design was working at Marshall Projects.
