Herber Design developed a concept to add a second story and modernize the commercial kitchen and interior environment of an existing take-out restaurant located on Hampton Avenue in Venice. The design focuses on preserving the majority of the existing 1924 exterior structure, while the new second story addition uses materials that help differentiate the addition from the existing building and takes the neighboring building’s sight-lines into consideration.
